The Brady Brood

The Brady Bunch was a popular sitcom about a blended family that ran for 5 years on ABC.  After the show ended it found new life in syndication.  It led to five spin off series and t.v. specials, two movies in the 90's, and another made for t.v. movie in 2002.  It had a core of wholesome family values, which is why executives were nervous about the name.  They initially thought the word Bunch might be tainted due to the recent popularity of the violent movie the Wild Bunch, and wanted to call the show the Brady Brood.  The creator of the show convinced them to keep Bunch, which was probably just as well considering the same year the show premiered David Cronenberg's The Brood hit theaters.
